| Dodger and Stern Rail going on |
The boat project has been pretty full on lately. I have been working hard lately on it and have been feeling like I haven't been getting a lot done. I now understand why it took so long to finish Don's boat. I find myself getting distracted with multiple projects on it at once and get them half done or run into a spot where I need an extra set of hands. I was up early this morning (5:45) to bring the boat home from the boat shop. Soon after I got the boat home this morning my good friend Kevin came over and helped out for a few hours. We got the dodger and the stern rail sealed with 5200 and bolted down. I think Kevin is just as excited to be working on it as I am. I am glad to have a friend that is motivated and willing to help. Soon after Kev and I got everything bolted down and cleaned up, we headed over to the lake to have a little sail session on the Hobie cat before work this afternoon. The winds looked promising this morning but as usual it died off by the time we got there and on the water. But either way we still got out and made a few passes in front of the NIC shack and that's all that really matters. After work tonight I came home and got to work on the boat again. I finished up glassing in the bulkheads I had made last week. I am very relieved to have those glassed in place and hopefully in the next week I will have my last few bulkheads glassed in place and the galley mocked up and on its way in. Hopefully you all have a great week this week and thanks for reading.
